Two people were killed in a car accident on Autobahn 14 near Ludwigslust. A 60-year-old man drove his car off the road to the right for an unknown reason, the police said. When the officers arrived, the man and his passenger were still in the vehicle and trapped.

The woman, aged 59, died at the scene of the accident despite resuscitation. The man was flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter, where he died that evening. The A14 in the direction of Dresden was closed until late in the evening.
