EV drivers have another way to pulse charge without adding the app to their phones. The network has joined ChargeHub’s Passport Hub, connecting more than 850 charging points in more than 95 US locations with ChargeHub and participating charging services and automakers.
Drivers can find, access and pay for bp pulse charging through ChargeHub or participating services connected to Passport Hub.
Passport Hub handles connections between charging networks and the services drivers use, including exchanging session information and settling payments. That allows a freight operator to connect to multiple services through a single integration.
In practice, ChargeHub users can get the pb pulse location, select a port, and start charging from their existing account. The app displays charging cost and wallet balance, and drivers need funds in their ChargeHub wallet to start charging.
ChargeHub also displays charger availability in real time and allows drivers to filter by connector type. Its pb pulse guide says the majority of network chargers use CCS, with an increasing proportion offering NACS.
Meanwhile, bp pulse has also been adding physical charging sites. Recent openings include 12 cargo bays at a TravelCenters of America location in Grand Bay, Alabama, and 22 bays near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
Before logging in, check the price displayed in the app. ChargeHub’s guide notes that its Plus subscription does not apply activation fees, so using an existing account does not necessarily mean paying the same total as with another payment method.
