Federal Minister of Education Karin Prien (CDU) wants to improve children’s educational opportunities with mandatory language tests for all four-year-old children and more targeted support in daycare centers. “Good education doesn’t start at school, but at daycare,” said Prien.
The minister presented the draft for a new daycare law. The aim is to make the transition from daycare to primary school easier for children. The federal government wants to provide a total of 9.25 billion euros for this by 2034.
