A man with an Israel flag on his lapel was attacked and seriously injured in Lower Franconia. It is assumed that the 20-year-old attacker’s motivation was anti-Israel or anti-Semitic and Islamist, they said police and Munich Public Prosecutor’s Office. DIG President Volker Beck said he was “shocked” by the attack and called for “swift and harsh punishment” for the attacker. “Anyone who identifies as a friend of Israel or as Jewish must fear for their life,” said Beck. “This can no longer be tolerated and the climate that encourages such acts must be clearly and clearly countered by Democrats.”
