Kia announced that prices for the 2027 EV6 start at around $38,000, or $8,000 more than the new EV3.
Prices and range of the Kia EV6 2027
The 2027 Kia EV6 arrives as a carryover model from last year. After slashing prices for the 2026 model year by $5,000 just a few months ago, the 2027 EV6 remains the same price across all trims.
The base EV6 Light model with rear-wheel drive and standard range starts at $37,900, not including the $1,545 destination fee, which is the same as last year.
Powered by a 63 kWh battery, the standard range variant offers up to 237 miles of range. Upgrading to the rear-drive long-range EV6 Light model costs an additional $3,300, from $41,200, but offers up to 319 miles of range with a larger 84 kWh battery.
The 84 kWh battery offers up to 319 miles of range on RWD variants, while AWD EV6 models get up to 295 miles. The top-spec EV6 GT-Line AWD has up to 270 miles of range.
Kia said that with the EV6 MSRP unchanged and the launch of the new EV3, it is “making electric vehicles more accessible to those embracing the all-electric lifestyle.”
The 2027 Kia EV3 starts at just $29,890, or about $8,000 less than the EV6. Kia’s entry-level electric SUV is available in five versions: Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line and GT.
The lower-priced EV3 Light FWD model uses a 58.3 kWh battery and offers an EPA-estimated range of up to 221 miles.
| 2027 Ser EV6 | Starting price* | Practice field |
| Lightweight EV6 SR RWD | $37,900 | 237 miles |
| EV6 Lightweight LR RWD | $41,200 | 319 miles |
| EV6 Lightweight LR AWD | $45,200 | 295 miles |
| EV6 Wind RWD | $44,800 | 319 miles |
| EV6 Wind AWD | $48,800 | 295 miles |
| EV6 GT-Line RWD | $48,700 | 319 miles |
| EV6 GT-Line AWD | $53,000 | 270 miles |
Higher-priced versions, including the Wind, Land, GT-Line and GT, use a larger 81.4 kWh battery that offers up to 321 miles of range on a single charge. Like the EV6, the EV3 is also available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive powertrain options.
Inside, both the EV6 and EV3 feature Kia’s ccNC infotainment system. The setup includes nearly 30″ of screen space on a curved widescreen display, including a dual 12.3″ instrument cluster and central navigation screens, plus a 5″ climate control touchscreen.
Both also include a native NACS port so you can access Tesla Superchargers without a separate adapter.
However, the EV6 uses an 800V architecture, allowing for faster charging than the EV3, which uses a 400V system.
The EV6 can charge from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes, while the EV3 takes about 30 minutes.
The EV6 is also larger and less boxy than the EV3, measuring 184.8″ long, 74″ wide, and 60.8″ tall, with a 114.2″ wheelbase. By comparison, the EV3 measures 169.3″ long, 72.8″ wide, and 62″ tall, with a 105.5″ wheelbase.
