The 2027 BMW i3 and iX3 start at $61,500, but the electric sedan costs almost $80 less per month to lease.

How much does the 2027 BMW i3 and iX3 cost to lease?

BMW opened orders for the 2027 i3 at the end of September, joining the new iX3 that went on sale earlier this year.

The i3 is essentially the sedan counterpart to the iX3 SUV, built on the same dedicated Neue Klasse EV platform with an 800V electrical system and BMW’s sixth-generation (Gen6) eDrive technology.

Both support DC fast charging up to 400 kW, allowing them to charge from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes. Both also have a standard NACS charging port.

The 2027 BMW i3 and iX3 use the same 108.7 kWh battery and offer ranges of up to 468 miles and 434 miles, respectively. With its taller, more upright SUV design, it’s no surprise that the iX3 is a bit below the i3 sedan.

Inside, BMW’s newest electric vehicles feature its Neue Klasse interior design. The configuration includes BMW’s new all-round vision, a full-length windshield display and a 17.9″ central infotainment display with its latest X operating system. Buyers can upgrade to the optional BMW 3D head-up display.

The 2027 BMW i3 50 xDrive and 2027 iX3 50 xDrive are available to order now, with prices starting at $61,500 for both.

According to BMW’s payment estimator, the i3 is considerably more expensive to lease than its SUV counterpart.

The 2027 BMW i3 50 xDrive costs $784 per month according to the estimator. That’s for a 36-month lease with $4,999 due at signing. The 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive, on the other hand, costs $862 per month for the same 36-month lease and $4,999 due at signing.

If they are the same price, why is the i3 cheaper to rent? BMW estimated monthly payments include dealer contributions and other credits.

The 2027 i3 does not yet have cash lease rates or special APR rates announced. However, the iX3 is available with a 4.99% APR for 60 months, which can be stacked with a $500 loyalty discount.

Since the i3 went on sale about two weeks ago, BMW will likely introduce new offers and incentives soon, like it did with the iX3.

BMW’s current offers end November 2. Want to see what deals are available near you? We’ve made it easy with our partner link below.
