Waymo continues to implement the robotaxi service in more and more places. With Tesla behind him, the initial The autonomous vehicle company could be trying even harder to continue growing and expanding rapidly. Either way, the news today is that Waymo is growing again. Here are more details from the company itself:

“Waymo will take you even more places. Over the next week, we’ll scale in five cities and add nearly 250 square miles of territory in Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area.

“Do you want a ride? Here are all the new places we’ll take you:

  • In Los Angeles we are extending up the coast to the South Bay, adding Torrance.
  • People from Nashville can travel further south, like to the zoo.
  • In Orlando, we are nearly doubling our coverage area in the east, including improved service downtown.
  • In San Diego, we headed north toward La Jolla.
  • For the San Francisco Bay Area, we will take you to more areas in the south, including a new BART connection at the Berryessa station.

“See where you can explore in the Waymo app or our updated service area maps.”

Sounds like significant progress on Waymo’s part. Where are we going now?
