An 84 year old woman is swimming Lake Constance died. The woman and her partner were in the shallow water in front of the Horn lido in Konstanz, the police said. There she lost consciousness for no apparent reason and had to be brought to the shore.

First responders and the rescue workers who were called were initially able to successfully resuscitate the elderly woman. She was taken to hospital, where she died a short time later. The family was cared for by an emergency pastor.
