Accident in the Baden Airpark: Broken engines – pilot has to initiate an emergency landing

A pilot made an emergency landing in a small aircraft in Rheinmünster (Rastatt district). The engines are said to have failed during the flight on Friday evening, police said. The pilot was able to land uninjured in front of the outer fence of the Baden Airpark runway. There were no other passengers on board.
The small aircraft sustained damage amounting to tens of thousands of euros. Rescue workers from the fire department, officers from the airport police station and helpers from the technical relief agency were on duty.
