A fire in a double garage with an adjacent wooden extension caused extensive damage in Hahnbach (Amberg-Sulzbach district). Nobody was injured. According to initial findings, a technical defect in the battery of an e-bike caused the fire on Saturday. The damage is estimated at 250,000 euros.

Accordingly, residents tried in vain to put out the fire before the fire department arrived. The emergency services were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.
