Karol Mets continued his career with FC St. Pauli after relegation from the Bundesliga VfL Bochum continued. The 33-year-old signed a contract until 2028, as VfL announced. The veteran played 104 international matches for Estonia.

“With him we are signing a real leader who will immediately give our defense stability with his presence,” said Simon Zoller, director of licensed football for the second division club. “Karol has international experience and brings exactly the quality, calmness and mentality that we wanted for this position.”
