A 50-year-old woman died in a car accident on federal highway 84 in East Hesse this afternoon. Like her, she died at the scene of the accident between Rasdorf and Neuwirtshaus police announced in Fulda.

According to police, the accident was caused by a 27-year-old driver who veered off the road to the right for an unknown reason. He lost control of his car and crashed into the car of the 50-year-old from Unterbreizbach on the opposite lane.

The woman was trapped in her car; Any help came too late for them. The person who caused the accident suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. The police called in an expert to clarify the exact course of the accident. The federal highway was completely closed for over three hours.
