Claudia Jung has to cope without him after her husband’s death. After 33 years together, it wasn’t always easy for the pop singer.

Kitzbühel – For Claudia Jung (62), the last few months have probably been the hardest of her life so far. In January, her beloved husband Hans Singer (65, † 2026), who was by her side as a manager and producer for many years, died after a serious battle with cancer. After a break of several months to cope with her grief, the pop singer performed again in June for the first time since the stroke of fate and sang her song “Love of My Life” for her late husband at the “Schlagerboom Open Air”.

An emotional performance that overwhelmed Jung in a certain way, as she said in an interview with MDR admitted. But life goes on and she tries to go her own way. “There are days when it works wonderfully. And of course there are days when it’s not so exciting,” she revealed.

What helps Claudia Jung to cope with the loss of her husband

During this difficult time, the singer finds support in her family, with whom she lives in a multi-generational house. The support of friends and fans also helps her cope with her loss, as does her music. “Music has always been a part of me and it’s just like a piece of therapy,” explains Jung, who now wants to go back on stage and catch up on her postponed tour for her 40th stage anniversary.

The pop singer canceled her concerts when she announced her husband’s death on Instagram with moving words on January 26, 2026. As she wrote, he had been diagnosed with cancer two years earlier, but for a long time there was much to suggest that after a serious operation he would be able to continue to lead a good life with some restrictions. They would have hoped until the end and done everything for it.
