Geretsried – A police officer was slightly injured during an operation in an asylum seeker accommodation. At around 11 p.m. on Friday (July 10), a young man rioted in the accommodation and damaged a door. The 20-year-old appeared aggressive and unreasonable to a patrol, so the officers called for reinforcements.

“Since he made no move to calm down and go to his room, he was declared in custody and handcuffed,” the police describe the scene. The man kicked an officer’s leg and slightly injured him.

Investigations into resistance to law enforcement officers
The rioter had to spend the rest of the night in the holding cell of the Geretsried police station. The 20-year-old is now being investigated for, among other things, resisting law enforcement officers. (cce)
