“So I was out with a few friends and showing off to a group of girls. I think a rabbit had escaped and got lost a little way into a community center,” recalled the 2.01 meter tall defender, according to a report by Mirror. During the chase that followed, the accident occurred that still haunts him to this day.
“The truth is: I climbed over a fence and was wearing a ring. When I tried to jump down, the ring got caught and tore my finger off,” Burn said on the British TV show A League of Their Own the fateful mishap. However, the physical limitation should not stop Burn from becoming a professional footballer.

The now 34-year-old never went through a traditional youth academy; instead, he fought his way up through several lower-class English leagues before making his debut in the Premier League at the age of 21. Today he plays for Newcastle United and is with the Three Lions in the World Cup semi-final against Argentina (all TV information).
