A man disguises himself as a pilot and wants to smuggle ten kilograms of cocaine into Europe. Officials become suspicious.
Bogotá – Security authorities have arrested a foreign national at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Colombia. He tried to smuggle ten kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride into Europe. The man was wearing the uniform of a commercial airline pilot. Apparently with the intention of bypassing the authorities’ controls and getting through the security gates unmolested as a crew member. Officers noticed suspicious behavior and initiated a search. What they discovered taped to his body was a surprise even to experienced investigators and shows how far drug smugglers will go to get their goods across international borders.
Six packages, one trick – what investigators found on the man’s body
During the search, the officers came across six packages full of powder that were attached directly to the man’s body and contained the drug cocaine hydrochloride. The arrested man was handed over to the relevant law enforcement authorities on suspicion of trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics. Excerpts from the search shows the video.
