A two-year-old boy was critically injured in a traffic accident in Hamburg-Schnelsen. The parents were walking with the child on a footpath on Sunday, and the two-year-old was walking with his father’s hand, the Hamburger said police with. As the family crossed a street at the level of a pedestrian marking, a 42-year-old turned into the street with her car and hit the child with the car for reasons that are still unclear.

The boy was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The police are looking for witnesses. Experts used, among other things, a 3D scanner to record the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
