The first modern smartphones had 3.5-inch screens, which can be hard to remember in today’s world of giant slabs of glass. Sure, people talk about wanting smaller phones, but will they buy one? Enough phone bets that they will. The company will begin accepting pre-orders for its first device today, which is built around a small 5.3-inch display that’s apparently the smallest it could find with decent performance metrics.
The company’s bold name is reflected in its approach to phone design. This isn’t a flagship killer, but it’s probably “enough” for most people. It has a mid-range MediaTek processor, a single rear camera, a polycarbonate body, and a fingerprint sensor on the power button.

With that compact display, the Enough Phone will be dwarfed by almost every smartphone out there. While it is slightly thicker, the device occupies almost the same size as the iPhone 13 Mini. Thinness is affected as the designers have chosen to make the battery user replaceable. Like the Fairphone, you’ll only need to remove a few screws to remove the back cover.

On the software front, the device will offer a choice. You can get a sufficient phone with a Google-certified stock version of Android 17, which is probably what most people will choose. It also supports OdysseyOS, a stripped-down version of Android without Google that behaves like a dumb phone (it doesn’t even have a browser).
Some minor details are still up in the air. Designers are still unsure of waterproof and durability ratings, and battery capacity could change. But they expect that specification to improve, not decrease, if it changes at all. Carrier support is also unclear at this time. It will be an unlocked 5G phone and the company is aiming for “broad global support.” But if you have a restrictive carrier like Verizon, you may be out of luck.
