Nigeria has removed almost 1,500 of its citizens from South Africa after a series of xenophobic attacks. A total of 1,490 people were flown out at their own request, the Nigerian Foreign Ministry said. The last of five evacuation flights with 305 returnees landed in Lagos on Wednesday.
