An accident involving a truck loaded with sides of beef on the A29 in Hatten (Oldenburg district) caused damage worth 130,000 euros. The truck began to sway after overtaking on Thursday afternoon, causing the 49-year-old driver to lose control of the vehicle, according to the police. The vehicle then left the road and tipped onto its side. The driver was able to free himself from the driver’s cab uninjured.

The A 29 towards Osnabrück remained completely closed for four hours in the evening for the rescue work.
