People: Even Mick Jagger has been ghosted by a woman
Rock legend Mick Jagger According to his own words, he has already been a victim of the dating phenomenon ghosting. “It’s the classic story: You get to know a woman, have a short affair with her and then she ghosts you,” explained the 82-year-old about the idea behind his new ballad “Back in Your Life” in the video podcast “Zane Lowe Interview”. When asked if he was speaking from his own experience, the singer replied: “Of course!”
Ghosting is the sudden and unannounced termination of all communication, especially when dating. A person disappears – like a ghost – from the lives of others and no longer answers messages or calls.
Jagger was able to draw on his own memories when writing the song about a woman suddenly breaking off contact, said the Brit. When his interlocutor asked “who the hell” would ghost Mick Jagger, the Rolling Stones frontman replied dryly: “It happens.”
The song “Back in Your Life” is part of the Rolling Stones’ new album entitled “Foreign Tongues”. Jagger says he co-wrote the ballad with Keith Richard and Andrew Watt.
