A support association wants to design the community’s playgrounds according to elements. It could start this year in the Zinneberg settlement – with a trampoline and barefoot path.

Glonn – The Glonn playgrounds should be refreshed. The support association for children, young people and families (KiJuFa) recently presented a corresponding concept to the local council at the last meeting.

KiJuFa wants to refresh Glonn’s playgrounds – and do it as cost-effectively as possible.

In addition to the playgrounds at the school and kindergartens, the market town maintains eleven other playgrounds. In addition, a playground in Schlacht with an area of around 600 square meters is planned as well as the large sports and leisure area on over 6,300 square meters (we reported).

The aim of the KiJuFa concept is to bring all of the community’s playgrounds into an overall concept. The aim is to offer more variety and increase the attractiveness of the playgrounds for several target groups. The playgrounds should be assigned to different elements based on their location. For example, “air” should be the motto in the Zinneberg settlement, “water” for the Seestall, “earth” for the square on Adolf-Kolping-Straße or “fire” on Postanger.

The playground in the Zinneberg settlement is scheduled to start this year, among other things as part of the holiday program. New play equipment such as balancing poles, a trampoline and a barefoot path are planned for the redesign. In addition, the entrance should be made barrier-free and a covered seating area should be built.

What the local councilors should be happy about is that the costs for the redesign are manageable because the planning and organization is carried out by voluntary specialists. The seating canopy could be built by the construction yard, the material for the balancing trunks is donated privately. The cost estimate is around 8,600 euros.

Little by little, the other playgrounds in Glonn will be spruced up in this way and with the active support of the population. The places at Seestall and on Adolf-Kolping-Straße should be next year.
